Privacy Policy

In force from 9 September 2026.

This policy describes what OWL RESEARCH does with personal data on owl-research.com.ua. It is written from the site as it is actually built: every category below corresponds to a form, a field or a record that exists.

Who is responsible

The controller is OWL RESEARCH LLC, Zakhidna 10, 08200 Irpin, Ukraine.
Email: research@owl-research.com.ua · Phone: +380 50 4222205.

Write to that address for anything in this policy, including requests to access, correct or delete your data.

What we collect, and why

1. A request from the form on the home page

Name, email address, company, phone or messenger, the type of request, the preferred report language, your message, and the language of the page you sent it from.

We use it to answer you and to prepare a proposal. Basis: your consent, given by the checkbox next to the form, and the steps taken at your request before a contract.

2. A client account

Name, email address (which is also the login), a password stored only as a cryptographic hash, and optionally company, country and phone. We also store the moment you gave consent, and whether the email address has been confirmed.

We use it to run the account: to show your orders, to hand over finished reports and to write to you about them. Basis: performance of a contract with you.

3. Orders and reports

The research you order, its stage, the region it concerns and the delivered files, linked to your account.

Basis: performance of a contract; and, for the accounting records that follow from it, a legal obligation.

4. A request for a report in another language

The email address you leave and your comment, so that we can tell you when that language version appears.

Basis: your consent.

5. Technical data

The address of your device (IP) is used to limit the rate of sign-in attempts, registrations and form submissions. It is held for fifteen minutes to one hour and is not stored beyond that.

Visit statistics — page, referrer, country and city, browser and operating system — are collected by self-hosted software and stay in this site’s own database. They are not sent to any advertising network.

Basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and protected from automated abuse.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets cookies when you sign in — they keep you signed in and protect forms from cross-site submission. Without them an account cannot work.

Your interface language is remembered in a cookie. The day-and-night setting and the map view are kept in your browser’s local storage; they never reach our server.

We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party tracker is embedded in these pages.

Who else sees the data

The site runs on hosting in Ukraine, and letters are sent through the mail server of the same provider. The hosting provider therefore processes the data technically on our behalf, under a contract.

We do not sell personal data, do not pass it to advertisers, and do not use it to train models.

Transfers outside Ukraine

Data is stored in Ukraine. If you write to us from another country, your message reaches us there; no separate transfer of your data abroad takes place.

How long we keep it

  • Account and orders — while the account exists, and afterwards for as long as accounting law requires.
  • Requests from the forms — up to three years, so that we can pick up a conversation you started earlier.
  • Delivery logs for letters — fourteen days.
  • Rate-limit counters — from fifteen minutes to one hour.

Your rights

You may ask us to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to hand it to you in a machine-readable form. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect what was lawful before it.

Write to research@owl-research.com.ua. We answer within thirty days.

If you believe we handle your data wrongly, you may complain to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, who supervises personal data protection in Ukraine. If you are in the European Union, you may also complain to the supervisory authority of your country.

Children

The site is addressed to companies. We do not knowingly collect data about children.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Changes that affect you materially are announced by email to the address in your account.
